This is the budgeting app I use to track my spending, update my spreadsheets and set budgets for the upcoming month.

It’s been an absolute game changer for my finances. It’s helped to expose some less favourable spending habits which has enabled me to take action on them!

I can’t recommend it highly enough

Top Dividend Stocks to Buy

This is the online software I subscribe to which finds endless dividend stock investment opportunities to drastically cut down on the amount of research I need to do myself. The gains I see from these stocks far outweigh the $29/month I pay to be a member. The above link will take you straight to their subscription page where you’ll get access to a $9 trial month. It’s seriously worth a try for one month to see the potential that this kind of service could have on your long-term investment gains ๐Ÿ’ช

The ChooseFI Podcast

Starting with the resource that kicked off my journey. I found this was a fantastic place to start my journey. Even if it was completely by accident. Brad & Jonathon do an amazing job of explaining what the FI movement is all about and how to take small steps every day to change your future for the better. At the point of writing this, they have 172 main episodes with about the same number of weekly round up episodes. Most weeks they have guests who have achieved some truly remarkable things and are guaranteed to inspire you to make positive changes to your life. Start with episode 100 and then work your way through the plethora of other episodes at your leisure. There is something of value in every single one.

‘Reset’ by David Sawyer

This was the first book I read from the long list of books written by those in the FIRE community, and it really helped me to translate a lot of the US-centric advice and guidance from those in the community and apply it to the UK financial and tax system. If you’re British and seeking an early retirement, financial independence or just a better understanding of all things personal finance, I highly recommend this book! ‘The Simple Path to Wealth’ by JL Collins

Probably the most read book in the FI community. An incredible, inspirational read, giving you the road map to kick-start your journey. Anyone who knows the FI movement knows and recommends this book. Are you even a member of the FI community if you haven’t read it?
